Brooke Winchell, PhD

Dr. Brooke Winchell is an assistant professor at The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. Her research interests revolve around preventing barriers to and promoting children to reach their maximum potential by improving upon evidence-based and recommended practices. She has worked with children from birth to age 8 who are at-risk for or diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders, for whom she has designed, implemented, and monitored behavioral interventions. Specifically, she has extensive experience administering, interpreting, and analyzing evaluation measures intended to improve developmental outcomes for children. Brooke has extensive experience in working with children with challenging behaviors and is a certified trainer for Triple P: Positive Parenting Program. She has over 20 presentations at the international, national, regional, and local levels of the topic of behavior and promoting social emotional development.
